So far it has for me been a disappointing year compared to last year. Hopeful with the new releases that will change soon.

What are the best you have seen this year? In no particular order these are worthy movies i have seen:

Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water,The Light Between Oceans, Allied, The Nice Guys, Sully, Cafe Society

The Nice guys I thought was great at just a movie to make you laugh.

Hell or high water was good but could of been great. Those two were my favorites.

Independence Day was worst movie I saw. Turned the dam thing off halfway through.

I'm hearing Hell or High Water is great.

Manchester by the Sea has 97 on RT.. Definitely gonna be up for some awards.

Hell or High water starts off as a straight to DVD movie, which it might of been.

But it's a great movie IMO. Bridges and Foster are great.

Casey may be better than Ben. Talk about two dudes who hsd to suck *** for a decade to pull their acting careers together.. Casey was in the original American Pies.

Manchester by the Sea for me was good not great like the critics reviewed it. Really good acting though.

Saw La La Land, very original and is one of the best. Would tell you to go see.

Fences is pretty good but not one of the best, rental.

"The Accountant" and "Hell or High Water" were the best of the bunch in a tepid year for movies.

I haven't watched "Manchester by the Sea" yet but I will because Casey Affleck is one of my favorite actors. This generation's Dustin Hoffman, IMO.

I didn't see a lot but the two that I liked best were The Nice Guys and Hell or High Water.

I find most of the Oscar stuff to be pretty pretentious type stuff. I lost a lot of interest over the last few years when I thought most of the winners were blah.

Nope. Not a single funny woman comedian. You can't name one. Go ahead try.

The problem with female comedians is they are usually better writers than actors and better doing stand up than drowning their schtick with political statements too damn much. I can't even turn on TBS without getting annoyed by yet another Samantha Bee promo.

That said, funny female comedians:

Carol Burnett
Julia Louis Dreyfus
Lucille Ball

That's about all I got.

My favorite was a movie no one has mentioned. . .Hell or High Water. Great, great movie. Can't recommend enough.

My second favorite is a toss up between Halloweed or Boo! A Madea Halloween.
