Minnesota controls their own destiny still sitting with 2 conference losses. Granted they've got some tough games left, but they will have plenty to play for.
Minnesota's losses have come to Penn State in overtime (now looking much better) and Iowa 14-7. While they struggled against Rutgers, they've done what they were supposed to do elsewhere on the schedule.
Nebraska can't afford a meltdown after a mentally tough game vs. Wisconsin followed by a complete thrashing @ Ohio State. With the uncertainty of a starting QB, this game should be tough and the team will need a fired up home crowd to keep their minds in the right place.
I'm not sure what I think of yet another night game, but hopefully since this one is in Lincoln it will encourage an amped up atmosphere.
For those unsure about Minnesota, they are led by a senior QB, Mitch Leidner completing 58% of his passes, 5 TDs 6 INTs. They are ranked 108th in passing yards per game but 36th in rushing yards per game. They hang their hat on being a physical team. Their defense is ranked 35th giving up an average of 23 points per game.
If Tommy was healthy, this is a game Nebraska should win. If he's out, I think it's a toss-up at best.
