And does anybody know why Seth Blair is not playing at Oak Grove this year? He was a talented kid that could turn a game with a big run or kick return. Did he go somewhere else?

I was wondering about him too, since I heard about the new freshman running back. I expected that he would be a hybrid back going out for passes and motioning to the backfield as a second running back at times. And didnt he play defense too?

He did play some D, and was always in the middle of it on special teams too.

Oak Grove vs West Forsyth (tonight, Thursday) I've heard this is due to lack of referee availablity.

North Davidson vs NW Guilford (moved to Saturday? can anyone confirm?) Is it a availability thing as well?

He did not go anywhere else. Not sure the true reason he quit. He was a good back with speed but wanted the lime light and didn’t get it behind Shewcow. He was not the toughest kid as I heard he faked a concussion when he made a bad play. I heard maybe he was working and wanted to earn money instead but idk for sure. He could have made a good impact this year

New running back has ALOT of work to do. Big kid but not a huge playmaker. I think OG has to go to more of a throwing game this year. OG has couple good backs that will contribute to keep teams honest just don’t think it’s the Freshman, at least not this year.

He’ll settle in - tonight was his 3rd game - since 5th grade.

Judging by that Ledford score, things could get real ugly for Walkertown next week.

It surprised me that Randleman lost to Asheboro. Maybe Asheboro is way better this year, but thats not a game they should have lost.

Asheboro's not a bad team. They've got some weapons. They'll score on some people. They've just got to catch the dadgum football.
