Dominated on the line of scrimmage rushing 60 times for 294 yards and held Prep to 149 yards of total offense. Prep scored it's only TD on a blocked punt that set them up on the 7 yardline or so. It was no fluke....MRA wore them out, and had done pretty much the same thing back in late August but missed a field goal and lost by 2.</p>

and of course, MRA was celebrating and I happened to see Robert? Malone, the guy from MRA that we just got a commitment from, in the celebration and someone was standing next to him ringing a cowbell.

so that one of them could win the state championship every year.

When MRA won it five or six years ago they played Lamar, I think, and later that day JA and Prep played for another championship, even though they are both AAA.

I guess since MRA played Prep they've done away with that, but that was a nice little slice of private school ******** for a while.

They split academy AAA into 2 divisions so some of the smaller AAA schools would have a chance to win a title.

If they're a big enough school to play in AAA, they should all play for one championship.

Would the smaller school most likely ever win it? No, but sports aren't all about everyone getting a participation trophy and feeling good about themselves.

The first time in 13 years Prep isn't going to the championship. Also, the first *** whippin at home by an MAIS team in over 8 years. The half a million dollar turf got broken in real good last night!

I'm all for competition, but those schools have no business being in the same class as the biggest MAIS teams. The only reason they are is that there aren't enough of the larger teams to fill out a schedule. If they were in the MHSAA,the largest MAIS schools would be 4A. I bet the smallest AAA school would probably be close to the 2A/3A cutoff.
