CC inherited a situation that no head coach wanted and very few assistants wanted. He inherited a program one step from the death penalty and has brought some life to it. He has had to build this program from the ground up without cheating and he has done just that. The only thing we do not have now to compete with the big boys is a 90K seat stadium. Recruits believe in his plan. The players believe in his long range plan. The 2007 SEC Coach of the Year has earned the right to set the ship straight and if you listen and pay attention you will see the winds of change coming.

"The players believe in his long range plan"

I thought Croom didn't care about what is happening in 4 years. I wonder if his long range plan includes burning redshirts so we can win lose now.

I've said it before, and I'll say it aGAIN: this "impossible situation"/"one step from the death penalty" talk is the biggest load of ******** Crxxms ever sold the sheep and media. Unfortunately, they bought it hook, line, and sinker.

for all of the soft bigots, like LT, who excuse Croom's utterly shitastic performance on the grounds that he can't fairly be held to any meaningful standard. He's behind the eight ball, they say, and so we must excuse his incompetence for twice as long as any other coach would be given. He somehow DESERVES twice as much time as any legit coach to prove he belongs.

At this point, it really doesn't matter what Crxxm inherited. Where we are now is the result of Crxxm's long-range plan. And it's pretty clear that Crxxm's long-range planning ability isn't worth a **** either.

for soft bigots, like LT, who believe Croom's shitastic performance cannot be fairly measured against any reasonable standard. They say, he's behind the eight ball. They say, he's dealing with disadvantages. They say, he has to be propped up and "helped." We can't judge him as we would with any other coach. If you point to his ****** results, you're a racist.

Everyone needs to see where the fault is...The fault can't be solely placed on the Jackal. First off at the end of the 99' and 2000 year, the NCAA announced they were checking into our program for violations. My question is what do the other schools do when the NCAA comes knocking on their doors? The answer is...The AD states there might be some violations and that he will check into the situation, at that time he offers 2 scholarships over the next 2 years. In about 2 months the NCAA says thank you but we will take 4 scholarships over the next 2 years. The problem at State was the fact that LT couldn't stand the love and power the Jackal recieved from the fans and support, so instead of voicing his concern and taking up for the program with the NCAA, he let the Jackal hang! He did absolutely nothing and the NCAA drug it out for three years. Meanwhile recruiting was being highly watched as well as the other schools letting recruits know that we were going on probation. This is the single most point that killed our program and killed Jackie. He no longer had support, he couldn't recruit, and his will and determination left. He was placed on a island. LT got his wishes, He no longer had to spend money on upgrading our football program, he got rid of jackie, and he got to hire a coach whom which he could control. His failure was underestimating Fogelsong. Everyone needs to think that if LT would have took up for Jackie at that one point in time, there is no telling where our program could be at this juncture.

that you listen to the winds of change, not see them. Or in DS's case, you can smell them.

Like I have said. I am all for a long term plan that places us on a consistent footing to win. However, it is total ******** that you have to sacrafice winning in the short term to accomplish that.

Further, I am tired of examining what he is doing, what his problem is, etc. We don't win while he is at the helm. It is that damn simple at this point.

He is the KB21 of the football program.

Polk and Raffo had some track record of success. I guess that makes MRob, or whatever his name is, more delusional than KB21.

I still think that Robertson has an agenda to try to stay close to the football program and is spewing this crap and hanging out with the team so that he can get "high up".

Yeah, the winds of change are coming- and they don't involve Woody.

I think Croom is FOS. His "long-range plan" is to fleece MSU for as long as possible.

And it is total ******** that we are in the midst of a long range plan. It is pretty well understood, I think, that there will be some changes, if not wholesale changes. Special teams coaching has been, and probably will be again, changed for ****** coaching. Offensive coaching will, I think, be changed at the end of the year because of five years of complete incompetence and suckedness, but the "OC" crxxms may remain. Not to mention EJ leaving. So if that speaks to crxxms having a long range plan then I am definitely blind. And I am not going to mention his completely idiotic statements made contradicting himself each time he speaks. I just don't think there is any way this clown has any idea what he is doing.

.......by making references to the ways in which he won at MSU. Basically what we're seeing is the resurgence of the "doing it the right way" phrase again.

The things listed in the Infractions report did not seem as serious as some infractions reports I have read about concerning other schools.

And as soon as the losing mentality changes at MSU, he will be one of the first to lay claim to it. He is what you call a perennial loser.

That's interesting. We're coming full circle with the "right way" stuff.

You know things aren't going well and not likely to get better when you're rehashing the same defense that was used 4 years ago. At least then it was early in Croom's tenure. But now, it's just empty words, much like 4 years ago, except now it's more obvious to anyone who can see things as they really are at MSU.
