that would rather "watch a good team play" than win are happy. And I'm not talking about anyone on here.

and Houston with at least 3 of those at home. I still cannot believe we played at LaTech....and then lost.

except I wouldn't even play Houston. Throw in North TX or something.

our schedule would be something like:

I-AA cream puff special- like Samford.

Sun Belt Special- Louisana-Monroe AT HOME.

Alumni vacation special- Tulane on the road. Alternate home/home with Memphis, and UAB every six years.

Service academy special- Army, Navy (yes, I know they're good, we should still be able to beat them), and Air Force. And I would be willing to do home/home with with them.

You are right, that you have to play us vs us play you.... BUT, we laid down last year...don't think that will happen this time...
The Rebs are not going to be quite as good as advertised...and you will be let down.

I'd be ok with 4 wins this year. It's JSU and a bunch of maybes. Auburn, Houston, Vandy, MTSU, UK, Arkansas - I think we can get 3 of those, unfortunately 5 of the 6 are on the road. Brutal.

Once we get to be good, then maybe replace the service academy with a BCS conference team, home and home. Big 10 would be a good league to do that with. Winnable games.

Disagree a little about Navy. They would whip our *** right now.

I am skeptical that we will met expectations myself. The bar is set so high that exceeding or even meeting expectations could be tough. Either way, we are happy to have the hype. You are certainly doing something right when people have lofty expectations.

The main reason I responded to this post was to point out that even if we DON'T meet expectations and win just 7-9 games and finish second in the west, it doesn't mean that you are automatically going to have a better chance to win against us in Nov. I'd worry for the moment about trying to defeat Houston, MTSU, Vandy, or Auburn, and even those won't be easy. Anyone who takes Houston and MTSU for granted is setting themself up for a La Tech type disappointment. Those aren't bad teams.

I believe MSU will execute better. I think you will see improved offense. It will be hard not to improve when you consider that your offense has been one of the 10 worst in college football. At the same time, I believe some of you are expecting a little too much from your new coach in his first year. Whether you want to believe it or not, your talent level is way down at the moment. The only bright spot on your whole team at the moment is your linebackers. And they are probably middle of the road in the SEC. Mullen is going to need time to get some players in place.

We may disappoint this season, but you still have a ways to go to match up with us on the field in my opinion.

It will be hard to meet the projections...I do think replacing the players lost will be harder than many think.
Didn't say we would beat you, but do expect us to give a much better effort.
