MSU Alternate Silver Uniform

Thanks for all u guys input on the '86 throwbacks. There was a lot of
comments about grey alternate unis. I'll do some helmet concepts tmrw,
but right now I'm headin home. I do these things after hours here at
work. But i'm tired and hungry now.

I think the silver looks good- I think it would look better with a maroon helmet rather than a silver one.

There's been more favorable responses to having grey alternates, but there are so many people who lose their **** when we wear black. The general consensus is that black isn't in our school colors...well...neither is grey... Why is that?<div>

The maroon helmet DID look good on this combo. But believe it or not, maroon numbers did NOT. I'll show u what black jersey tops look like; with white numbers outlined in maroon (not the current hard-to-see maroon numbers on black). My white away unis look tight too. Also, Gray (Pantone 428C) is in fact an "OFFICIAL" color for MSU. It came along with the new logos and word marks.

My old high school, the Fighting Horn Lake Eagles school colors were Maroon/White/Grey. Grey works in that color scheme. It is neutral, somewhat.

Tell your adidas overlords that there appears to be some buy-in on the silver. Of course, there are purists who will hate them.

...so no. I havent posted on any other boards (but my personal FB page). I do these because of my love for MSU and i want us to be the best in EVERYTHING! and that includes "looks". so, if being part of this board gives me an outlet to showcase some ideas for my beloved university, and share them with other Marooniacs, that 17'n awesome! Thats also cool that theyve popped up on other sites as well. My intention from the get-go was to create a buzz and let people see the potential of just how sharp we could be. I want others (across the nation), not just State fans, to say, "Damn, I believe Mississippi State has got the best-looking uniform(s) in the country!" but thank you sooo much guys for the feedback, ideas, and criticism. anyhoo, I'm winding up the black jerseys and have a lot more stuff im working on: a 'The Hump' logo, new bully mascot suit, and more. Soon as i do them, I always come straight here and post. I just dont wanna kick a dead german horse and keep posting new uni pics. Cool black tops coming this evening. thanks again, u guys!

I have a few requests please. 1. A helmet like Oregon had in the Rose Bowl in 4 different color options maroon, black, silver and white. 2. A MS interlocking baseball logo one with pinstripe pants (yes I'm serious). 3. One like our Hockey Jersey scheme (I included a pic). 4. One like the Michigan color scheme vs ND this last year with State colors of course. (pic included)

Pinstriped football pants? That would look beyond horrible.

Hockey Jerseys? I do like those jerseys for a hockey team, but that would look clownish as a football jersey.

I would like to see white uniforms with the silver/gray and Maroon numbers and trim, with the maroon helmet. (basically like the one in this thread except reverse the silver and white, and add a maroon helmet)

I was listening to the bowl pregame radio show, and Wyatt was interviewing the Adidas guy.... I caught the tail end of the interview but Matt was asking him if they had anything interesting in store for next year. The guy said they would reveal some things in the spring, but there would definitely be some interesting new uniform combos next year. He said Adidas loved their partnership with MSU and the players and fans had some cool things to look forward too. Maybe Adidas and Chillbilly can get together and make some **** happen.

Especially the silver pants with maroon stripe. I've felt for years that the white pants are boring and only looks decent with the matching white jerseys. Honestly, our tradional maroon top-white pant look is just boring. I totally dig this and hope the powers that be are reading because this is freaking awesome. I'd love to see this go permanent. The silver helmets are incredible also.

of a positive idea CaDaverDawg. I am not exactly sure what he is saying but its an idea. With as many ideas as we can get we can all achieve what we want. If you don't like someone's idea fine but it's easy to say an idea is **** it's hard to think outside the box and put your "new" ideas out there for ******** to comment on. How about you try thinking of an idea that isn't boring as 17.
