I too am excited about baseball. I just hope we don’t **** the bed “Mississippi State style”.
New coach. Lot of new players. Sometimes these things take time to settle in. I don’t want to put too much preseason expectations on it, but I agree this team could be really really good.
If anybody bitches about taking the shine off this bowl game with baseball talk….

If my almost 4 decades as a State fan has taught me anything, it's that with these expectations we are about to get swept by Hofstra to open the season, have at least two key players go down for the year during the opener and we crater to a 25 win season
Should be a good-to-great year. Hoping for zero key injuries and fielding a team that can compete for the SEC title. Do that and we'll be a national seed.
Some of ya'll are dumb. I don't think ya'll understand the charlie foxtrot goof troop we have leading the football program, vs. the literal Saban equivalent running the baseball program. Or might possibly be, has all the similar attributes thus far.
I'm just glad our baseball guys (not Selmon) did what was necessary. They knew our baseball program was the most marketable thing we have.

Inquiring minds need to know. Did you get a good price for the trailer? Will you place the family at a nice shelter during your pilgrimage? Make sure you pack some Dale's in your backpack on your hitchhike trip to the promised land. "Dinner reservations" might be a little strong of a word for panhandling for food at the stadium. We should already have 5-10 Nattys in baseball as much time effort and $$$$ we have put in it the last 50 years.
And... not trying to play preshitter, but we play every one of those teams this season, including UCLA.
Once aGAIN and as always, the SEC scheduling lords are not pleased with their lowly subjects in Starkville and have meted out a harsh sentence. I don't know what we have done to deserve this punishment, season after season and sport after sport, but whatever it was, I blame Joffrey Templeton.

We're meshing some of the best between Virginia and MSU. I think we have the battery to do plenty of damage. Only concerned about the hurling side, although there are a lot of nice pieces available. Jelling the team and finding everyone's role on the team will be Coach O's main focus. I'm really interested in seeing how Parker fares with a "for-real" head coach at his back.

My wife and I went to a shindig a few weeks ago. Met this awesome guy who'd lost a leg in Afganistan. He's been through some ****. Anyway, he just got a new leg from this amazing charity organization. The wife was in tears over the situation and they had a great time chatting. I should be set financially for an Omaha run.
My only question mark is fleshing out some of the pitching roles, but we’ve got good options.
We are going to be an incredibly hard team to pitch to. We will have guys that will only get on the field in pinch hit roles that could be everyday starters at almost any school in the country.

I don’t think battery means what you think it means in baseball terms. (Haven’t we been through this before?)
Battery in baseball means "batting lineup". And to my knowledge, I have never been through this before.
