why do we tolerate this failure?.. we fans and supporters of Miss State Baseball have done more than any other fans in college baseball than ANY other in the history of the sport. Go google it if you don't know. Go look at the home attendence records. We were the KINGS... KINGS BITCHES!!!
Yes we suffered through the Polk Two **** Years.. But actually that piece of **** started 17ing us before his "come back". And yes I will call him a piece of **** this to the day I die. Only God himself has the right to forgive him for the words and his actions upon his retirement in regards to our program.. 17 him regarding MSU baseball. we don't owe him **** after what he said and did. this in only about baseball... there are many more things in life that are more important and CERTAINLY more things more important once we die.. BUT NO MAN is abBOVE the GAME or the PROGRAM while we live here on EARTH. 17 him forever as far as I'm concerned. Yes he did a GREAT job. But TIME moves forward. And so does the sport and so does the program. His WORDS and ACTIONS should NEVER be Forgiven upon our LIVING LIVES when it comes to our program.. It is TIME to MOVE FORWARD...
We gave EVERYTHING he wanted... and EVERYTHING he asked for... and he delivered ALMOST everything we expected..... except a National Championship...
then what did you do POLK? you SHAT upon the program as if it was yours to shat upon. you 17ing imbecile. how DARE you do what you DID!!!!
If I were a high school baseball player considering college ball instead of opting for the MLB draft, and I was shown John Grisham's piece on Dudy Noble Field and the potential to play in front of the crowds that would ensue if regional hostings were almost a certainity, would I opt for another school?...HELL NO!!!!
This Progarm DESERVES the BEST Coaching and the BEST Players. And if they DELIVER, they will be rewarded with the BIGGEST crowds in college baseball ... and will have the BEST college baseball experience of their LIFETIME..
Coach Cohen: thank you SO much for taking the job under so much ******** pressure.... you brought Miss State Baseball into the modern day of recruiting that Polk refused to adapt to... thank you for that..But hey, everybody else was doing it except us before you were hired..no? ... but fella, this **** here ain't cutting it... we the fans deserve better...
the 1st two years sucked and you were given a pass but they should not have sucked as bad as they sucked... now you have top 10 players and you are sucking again.. this **** has got to stop or you need to get another job....
Strickland...it is time for a talk .. and I mean a SERIOUS talk,...
Nothing defines failure more than when potential is laying right in front of your eyes and you fail to capitalize upon it. .

No dubmass. STRICKLIN is our AD. You obviously didn't make a 27 on the English portion of your ACT.

Not really, no...

This manifesto would have fit much better when the brunt of the "sky's falling" crowd was around last night. Today, most people are off the ledge and back to looking at this logically.

No part of this screams "sky's falling". Disappointing? Sure. "Time to sit the coach down?" Hardly -- and ridiculous to suggest...

it's called "17 the ********"... It's time to **** or get off the pot... we deserve better... and NOW.. get it?

ok...I tried not to, but I cant resist. Who would you suggest we bring in after firing Cohen after he makes his 3rd NCAA in a row and no telling how deep he goes?

no doubt about it coach that's a damn good question

the point I'm trying to make is that there is a complacency attitude starting to develop that is just not 17ing warranted based on our history and I am just 17ing getting sick and tired of it...

I'm 50 17ing years old and I'm tired of waiting after all the giving.....I need and expect a 17ing reach around at this point..

I was around watching clark and palmerio.. been there and done that.. seen all the glamour... read and watched live all the crowds and what not...seen all the excitement from the player's eyes 1st hand...

I'm just not ready to accept anything less than 1st class whip ***... that's just what I grew accustomed to and it was ALWAYS because of the what the FANS brought...

NOT the COACHES..... get a 17ing coach in there that can DO the 17ING job..

case 17ing CLOSED

Where was this the last decade while we were tripping all over ourselves? Really 2 decades if we're being honest with ourselves(outside a 4 yr run in the late 90s). It's a weird f'n time to be freaking out right now -- when we're the best actual team we've been since at least 2003(thanks, PMac).

All the talk about the glory days is fine and dandy -- but no one has a magic formula to click their heels together 3 times and make it so. Fact is, we were playing catch up from the MOMENT that Bertman got it rolling down in Baton Rouge -- and we haven't done any catching up outside of one great recruiting class in 1994 and the 4-yr tenure of a coach that wasn't good enough to keep a job at Florida.

I love the part where Polk "should NEVER be forgiven upon our LIVING LIVES"......

Your entire post includes oddly capitalized words and a sort of biblical style speech, mixed with utter dumbness. I hereby award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I know we were once the Maroons, but I never knew we were the Kings at some point. Too bad that didn't stick- We could have a ridiculous amount of sidewalk alums, what with the obvious Elvis tie-ins and all.

You bury a few good points in deep ****. Too bad. And welcome to the other side of the hill.

I feel like we're about to turn it around regarding these close game losses. I still think we'll have a tremendous season. i predict that before too long our baseball team will be shocking us with great play. We're standing in a wide open door. Can't see us not breaking through.

If that's true, it has to start with a win today. We have 3 (bracewell, Ross, and holder) of our best pitchers available today. We need this win. 4-5 in the sec is so much better than 3-6

Why do we do this every year?

Throughout 2011, even as late as the final SEC series, lots of SPSers wanted Cohen fired. 29 games into the SEC season, several threads declared the season over ... we ended up 9 outs from Omaha.

Throughout 2012, people insisted we had no chance of making a Regional. Even before the start of the final SEC series, those same people kept piping up and saying we still had a decent chance to be left out ... we ended up just barely missing hosting a Regional.

Now here we are in 2013, and even though we remain a top 25 team and still have a 50-50 or better shot of hosting, those same people are rising up again, claiming we probably won't make a Regional and that Cohen needs to go or at least be on the hot seat. How many years in a row are we going to do this?

Grilled redfish is only good with a spicy dry spread. You should never ruin the quality of a good piece of redfish with salty marinades. If you decide to serve with pasta, I would so with angel hair because of the texture. Although delicious, bowtie falls off the fork too easily.
