At least Cut had a few good years for the bears before he started to raid them of talent & life. Ugh.
It's like some of y'all looked at the roster heading into the season and expected us to win 15 games. We are right where I expected us to be given the roster. We could have coach k, boeheim, and Roy Williams on 1 staff on the bench with this roster and not win 10 games.
In the win column we are exactly where I thought we would be. However, there is no excuse for getting skulldragged by a bad Vandy team full of freshmen at home. None. This crappy performance is on Coach Ray. He can't be blamed for how bad our team is but he can be blamed for this historically bad performance.
This time of year, freshmen tend to hit a wall. We are playing multiple true freshmen more minutes this season than all but a handful of freshmen in the country. We literally have no other options. Our guys are just absolutely worn out compared to the rest of the country. That's why we are losing by 30 to a bad vandy team at home (not that we have a home court advantage). Not to mention, the sheer snowballing of L after L including some heartbreaking loses starts to work on your head. Especially when a majority of the team are true freshmen with no real leader on the team.
Yeah yeah, excuses, blah. Whatever, these are legit reasons why we look so bad right now. No coach in the country would have won double digit games for us this year. I think the ray hiring was a pretty big miss, but I think the guy gets a complete pass this year and better show signs of life next year.
