When Dixon runs all over Bama for 175+ and 2 TDs and Ingram is held under 75 yards will ESPN finally shut up about Ingram and give Dixon some credit. Maybe Dixon should line up at linebacker and dominate Ingram.
Of course players on undefeated teams get more coverage, but the articles on ESPN make this guy out to look like a god. He's good, but to say he's Heisman worthy is laughable.
<span style="font-weight: bold;">STIFLING DEFENSE PUTTING UP IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS:</span> Alabama's defense over the past 23
games - or two seasons - has developed a reputation for its toughness, talent and pure speed, a
reputation verifi ed on the stat sheet. The Crimson Tide has held 20 teams under 100 yards rushing
over the past 23 games with only LSU and Florida in 2008 and Kentucky in 2009, able to
crack the 100-yard barrier as a team. In 2009, only Kentucky has managed more than 74 yards
rushing on the Tide. UA has surrendered just 1,665 yards on the ground in the last 24 games, an
average of 72.39 yards per game. No running back has cracked the 100-yard mark since Mississippi's
BenJarvus Green-Ellis went for 131 on Oct. 13, 2007, a span of 28 games.
The Alabama defense has held opponents under 200 yards of total off ense in nine of the last
23 games, including a 155-yard eff ort by Virginia Tech, a 187-yard showing by North Texas and
a 197-yard game by Mississippi in 2009. The sub-200-yard games in that span: Clemson (188);
Western Kentucky (158); Tennessee (173); Arkansas State (158); Mississippi State (167); Auburn
(170); Virginia Tech (155); North Texas (187); Mississippi (197).
and then you say this:I completely fine with them talking about Ingram, but watching an Alabama game on ESPN is like watching Ole Miss when Eli played. If Ingram runs for two yards the announcers say, "My God, that's the greatest run I've ever seen. All of you should bow to this fine human specimen." It's ridiculous.
so why would they give dixon credit if he and ingram are both similar backs AND it is ridiculous to talk great about Ingram? logic from your original statement is neither deserve to be talked about that much. and then we get back to my point that Ingram will be talked about because he is on a great team and players on great teams are discussed and praised for their actions much more than players on teams with four wins.I'm just saying Ingram is no better than Dixon. Dixon deserves some credit.
regardless if the offense was run by croom or any other coach they face, except for three times, they have held teams to less than 100 yards rushing. it will likely be a very long night for our running game on saturday. i hope dixon proves me very, very wrong though. The Crimson Tide has held 20 teams under 100 yards rushing over the past 23 games with only LSU and Florida in 2008 and Kentucky in 2009, able to crack the 100-yard barrier as a team

because Charles Scott only got 83 yards, altho he was on his way to 100 when he got hurtTodd4State said:he's just saying that Dixon isn't getting as much mention from ESPN because we have four wins. And he's right.
And by the way, if Dixon gets 100 yards against Bama, it will be a tremendous feat. Sometimes you have to pay the devil his due. And it's not so much about Dixon being bad as it is Bama's d-line is better than our o-line and we have a QB that they probably laughed at in the film room, much less respect his passing ability.
