Seriously, what's the deal....you guys changing your logo again? I like the Maroon helmets better, as I think most of your fan base does......the white would be cool every now and again if it didn't remind you of these past years.....I personally like the old, interlocking, left-to-right, diagonal MSU the best. Seems like they should pick one and stick with it. That being said, while our logo hasn't changed, we do not even have a freaking mascot.

Your logo has changed. I distinctly remember an old southern gentelman on there when I was a kid.

But it has been the script for a while......just seems like you guys have had a lot of changes. Ya'll are right....there was almost a damn war when they got rid of the powder blue.....thing is, that wasn't even one of our school colors. I liked the dark blue better anyway.....but I would like to see you guys go back to the interlocking MSU. But whatever.

Ole Miss colors come from the crimson of Harvard and the navy blue of Yale..Sure doesn't look like crimson to me..

We just haven't found our identity yet in football. I wish we would go retro and just resurrect one of our older logos instead of trying to come up with something too new.

I wonder how much of this logo shuffle is due to Learfield. Could be they need to stuff to conjure up and own for their purpose. More power to 'em. They're giving us a crapload of money.

Everyone upgrades their game gear and buys stuff with the new logo on it. MSU gets probably 10% of every transaction.
NFL teams use the retro uni's to do the same thing.
Jordan changed his number for his comeback for that reason.

that we've always been able to use an interlocking MSU logo. We still specifically have the rights to the one we used during the Felker era. The ONLY logo Nike owns the rights to is the specific one we used during the Sherrill era. There's never been anything preventing us from using one of the old logos or creating a new interlocking MSU logo.

There are two interlocking logos that I can think of...patdog is the Sherrill era logo the diagonal logo and the Felker one the straight up and down interlocking MS? I am pretty sure we still use the straight up and down logo for baseball...

Nike owns the rights to this logo:

They do not own the rights to this one:

This one:

Or even this one (without the U):

They also do not own the rights to any interlocking MSU logo that hasn't been designed yet.

Does MedReb forget about changing mascots? Rebel flags? Hell, those idiots don't know what their identity should be. Any place where the PA guy yells "FIRST DOWN" and the crowd yells "Ole Miss" can't talk about anyone. What a bunch of idiots.

Here's a link. Click Southeastern Conference on the left side of the page and scroll down to MSU. Nike ONLY owns the logo we wore from 1996-2003. All the others are fair game for us to use, as well as any other interlocking MSU logo we were to design.
