Just a reminder to the faithful Ice Dawg fans out there...

Your MSU Ice Dawgs will return to the Bancorpsouth Arena in Tupelo, MS next weekend, January 8th and 9th, to face off against SECHC opponent, the LSU Tigers.

If you came to watch the Dawgs demolish Ole Miss in November, come out, bring every single person you can, and fill those seats with another 2,000 plus insane MSU Ice Hockey fans. The Dawg House in Tupelo was rowdier than any basketball game in Starkville, so let's keep the tradition going and support the team in their matches against LSU.

Tickets are $5, kids under 6 in free. Full concessions, INCLUDING BEER, will be sold!

LETS GO MSU HOCKEY!

If it's afternoon/evening, I'm definitely driving over from Oxford after the basketball game. Should make for a good day.

the Kentucky schedule posters. I guess they quit after the 2007 season, but that's the way to run a college hockey program.

Back in the day when I used to go to Dallas games in Reunion Arena, they had a babe cam. We called that place babe-arena. Sure they had their share of ads and stuff during timeouts, but they had just as much babe cam activity on the jumbotron. The camera guy would scan the arena for the hottest woman he could find (there were plenty) and put her up there, mostly to cheers from the crowd and a smile from her. Occasionally the chick would play into it, swaying her hips and stuff, and the crowd would cheer louder.

From Wikipedia:

During the summer of 1989, Anderson went with her friends to a BC Lions game at BC Place; during the game she was shown on the stadium screen wearing a Labatt's t-shirt, causing the crowd to cheer for the 21-year-old Anderson. She was taken down to the field to receive an ovation from the crowd. Labatt's immediately offered Anderson a modeling contract and she accepted.

but where can I find the team schedule? I would like to make a few games down the road, but unfortunately this weekend doesn't offer me a chance.
And good luck to the team this weekend.

Are some of the SEC teams in different divisions? It looks like some teams like Vandy, beat MSU pretty handily, but then you beat Ole Miss soundly.

I noticed that MSU is in division II.

Looks like teams just make their own schedules and however many SEC games they play is just how many they play. Then there's a tournament in Pelham, AL. BTW, all SEC teams are in Div. III except Kentucky which is in Div. II.

Yea, the schedule can be found at www.dawgicehockey.org . Gametimes this weekend are 7pm Friday and 730PM Saturday at the BCS Arena in Tupelo, MS. Dont let the weather prevent you from coming out to the games! Kentucky is the only DII team. Since talent level varies from region-to-region considering there is no real recruiting, so some matchups can be pretty uneven. The schedules also vary considering not every team operates with the same budget. It's pretty hard operating an ice hockey team in Mississippi...however, the fans that come to these games are what make the next year possible. For Ole Miss, the team set the record, EASILY, for a single regular season game and this is only MSU's 2nd year. Hell our team beat out probably over half the NCAA sports on campus for attendance. Plus beer is sold at these games...that's something you can't get with any other MSU sport.

At least one of those games.
I've been a fan of UAH hockey for 30 years, and a lot of our ice Dawgs are from the Huntsville/Decatur area.

Before the pro teams came south, Huntsville was the hockey capital of the south.
