How many Pig Ten teams have failed now? 3? 4? and it's the second round...
Take a look at the Great PAC12 too. They are 1-5 so far. Every year the talking heads pump these conferences up and every year they are proven wrong. The B12/P12/B10 get the best seeds but they always flounder.

Big 10 is extremely down this year. That's why I don't put much stock in IU winning the regular season championship.
Actually I thought the BIG was up… way up over normal. Usually IU, Purdue and Iowa aren't thos good and Michigan State is/was better than they have been in a long time. Ohio State was down but the rest of the league was at least as good if not better than usual.

I do not care what Ken Pom says, MTSU is pretty good. Obvious now. This takes away our 82 loss as their biggest win ever.

Interesting that someone in this thread said Izzo should have started fouling at the 3/4 minute mark with MTSU so poor at the line. In 82, with no shot clock, Joe B let MTSU hold the ball for long stretches and they had a 46% FT shooter handling the ball at guard. I guess you never think you're actually going to lose when you're such a big favorite. Anyway the Cats were afraid of meeting UL in that game and they played scared the whole game.
