and the only cure is more cowbell. Since the other thread turned into a shameless plug for ED, and a catastrophe. I know it's already been discussed so sorry for the re-tread, but I just got my tickets this morning for the game so I was a little pumped up. They are really good seats.

Anyone else in section 107 area?

have they mentioned anything about attendance? I'll be shocked if it's over 50K.

Really?

I think the houston MSU chapter is really big, then east texas is sizeable, as well as Dallas. I was thinking 70-75 if OSU travels.

Are you, Cuz, quit beggin, extreme coming to houston for the game?

How big is it? I asked this in another thread and got no reply. I'm just curious about it.

If Twitter followers are any indication - they have 72. The Jackson metro area chapter has 312.

So assuming 25% of the 300K or so Jackson metro people are MSU folks, a ratio of 72/312 says about 17K MSU folks out in Houston. Add Dallas and you probably have around 30K. I bet 75% of them go to this game. Then you have family, etc. I bet we have 30K there from just that area of East Texas.

The east texas alum chapter is a bit of an older group so I doubt they tweet, but they are very devoted. the chapter president has sent tons of kids from East texas to MSU as students. He is a real go getter and maroon all the way to the core.

I am taking 4 (including one OM supporter. Imagine that), plus some family in houston will probably go. So I am hauling at least 10 to the game.

Jackson metro has a population of roughly 580k*

Something needs to happen to pep me up, I have almost no Wool!

Usually at this time of year, my wool is dragging the ground.

I just can't seem to get there.

Well, how many Dawgs attended the prior years' games at Univ. of Houston? That should be the low bar.

probably a bit aggressive

with only about 125k living alums, I doubt 15% of those reside in Houston.
