MSU Outfield fans, pay no attention to the game?

The more I think about what that Yoo Hoo said, the more it makes me question the baseball logic of their entire fan base. (small sample of 1).
It makes absolutely no sense that they would have no interest. A rational person would think they would be the most die hard of fans considering what they have to go through just to get the spot. The people who have rigs out there are fully committed to being a fan of MSU baseball in the biggest sense.

I sit next to this guy out there. If you've been to a game, you know first hand how awesome of an atmosphere the outfield is. Don't let it get to you.

If I was an OF for another SEC team I would love/hate playing against us. Love because when it gets down to it most of the fans out there are pretty nice. I've witnessed people giving players food and I've witnessed players coming up to us and holding a conversation about baseball during pitching changes. Hate because there is probably not a more hostile environment in baseball.

To be fair, I do go to games to party. Why can't I do both though? Admittedly I don't pay all that much attention to Alcorn State-type games, but 6,000 fans half paying attention on a wednesday night at the Dude is probably a lot more than 2-3,000 fans at UVA sitting in their seat backs on a wednesday night.

Also, if there is one sport as a fan that lends itself to more of a leisure type activity, it's baseball. It doesn't need your undivided attention.

I'll tell you, though, the right field corner is awesome during midweek games (with no one there except a few dedicated hecklers). Regardless, there is some world-class heckling that comes out of that right field corner. I'd really hate to be playing right field against us and mess up.
