The state College Board has started the first round of interviews for the new Mississippi State University president today.</p><font color="#FF0000"><font color="#000000">Five candidates, recommended by a campus-based advisory committee, will be interviewed through Wednesday.</font>

Those sitting in on the interviews include College Board Commissioner Thomas Meredith; College Board members Scott Ross of West Point, Ed Blakeslee of Gulfport, Aubrey Patterson of Tupelo, Robin Robinson of Laurel, Douglas W. Rouse of Hattiesburg and C. D. Smith of Meridian.
Campus representatives participating in the interviews include: Vice President for Student Affairs Bill Kibler, professors Susan Bridges and Melissa Moore, Student Association President Braxton Coombs, Interim Head of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development Linda Cornelious, Alumni Association Past President David Jones, Staff Council President Joy Odom and College of Business and Industry Dean Lynne Richardson.
