Good read. Not sure what to think about the offense. You point out that Russell is a 5th year senior and we return the entire OL. Good things, of course, but I feel it will be squandered on a scheme that isn't very innovative or suited to our QBs strengths. That falls on the coaching staff. Russell can only carry the team so far if the coaches don't put him in position to succeed, which my only concern.

I feel like we have players that are capable of doing great things if we can just find the creative play-calling/scheming/whatever that allows them to reach their maximum potential.

Best way I can put it is cautiously optimistic. Whole O line back, senior QB, plenty of able backs... Honestly, I should probably be more excited about it but I'm not for whatever reason. All our RB 's are good but no AD like workhorses. That's why I say it's all on Tyler. That's kind of unfair but the life of a QB I guess

Very little depth on the OL, resulting from poor recruiting. Have to use a walk-on for both backup guard spots, and use the same player for both back-up tackle spots.

I could have

Filled out a full 2 deep for the o line but I don't think it would be accurate. If you see an injury at either T or G I think you'll see the next best T or G which is Damien Robinson and Ben Beckwith.

Same at DE. I could have put AJ Jefferson as 1 of the 2nd teamers but there is no doubt in my mind that Ryan Brown would replace either starter.

Back to O line. We have 8 guys who can play. That ain't terrible depth. Now there is quite the drop off from the 1's to the 2's, not arguing that. If we were to have an injury, we would see the drop off we saw 2 years ago when Clausell was forced into action too early. The first 3 o lineman off the bench aren't great but they aren't terrible either
