Daniel singles. Then after two outs Shelby rips one and Daniel runs through the stop sign and scores the first run. 1-0. Shelby at third. Reed strikes out.

Well, Marsh is done for the day after giving up another single. Runners on the corners with no outs. Cole Daniels coming in again. UK seems like they are going to lean heavily on him this season.

Daniel does an excellent job to keep the damage limited and gets UK out of the jam. It remains 2-1 and now we head to the bottom of the 2nd.

UK now turning to Trip Lockhart probably looking for him to eat up several innings now that Daniels did his job and got us out of the troublesome top of the 2nd.

Austin Shultz takes a mistake pitch for a single, nice job. This is after Lockhart got us through the top of the 3rd unscathed.

Nice job by Collett getting a 2 strike opposite field single for an RBI.

Breydon Daniel gets on with what should have been an out but ruled an infield single. The pitcher hits Shinn. Then Collett gets a swinging strike three to end the 5th. MTSU is getting a lot more out of its starters than we did.

Coleman gets a walk and a strikeout, then gives up a single to give up two runs with a mistake pitch.

Has Coleman had one good outing this year? It seems likes he gets shelled every time he pitches.

His first two were good. He had another 2 inning stint where he didn't give up a hit but had two walks. He's had three now where he hasn't gotten in done.

I was at the game he pitched well, got within 1 strike of getting out of the inning and then threw a high curve ball when he was just blowing it by them with gas, should have stuck with his best pitch

It looked like Rigsby did pretty good in the 5th, had two mistake pitches (up and over the plate) that get hit. I thought Coleman was doing well too, but the two run single was on a pitch over the middle waist high. Some times a hitter just hits your best pitch and sometimes a hitter takes your mistake and spanks it. I don't think SEC hitting is going to be very forgiving of mistake pitches so maybe they can do to the mistake pitches what they did to the walks. We only had two for the entire series against MTSU.
