more power to you. If you send your kids to privateschool because your only other option is a terrible, failingschool, more power to you. If you send your kid to private school for a socialstatus, or to be in the in-crowd, or because you are wealthy and by-God that'swhere rich familes sendtheir kids, you suck. If you send your kids to private school to try and keep them away from blacks, not only do you suck, but your kids are going to have a warped sense of reality, pretty much like you do.</p>

You would send them to a private school, and if you really cared about their education, you would send them to prep or SA, JA isn't even in the same league academically with the other two, look at acceptance records from colleges, National Merit finalist and so on...JA doesn't compare to MC in academics, but it keeps you away from Mo Williams cousins and friends and is a name brand school around town, that's why they do well

What get's me are the folks that say they are moving to Madison from Jackson because of the good public schools, then they send their kids to MRA. In reality they are just racists.

they can play sports, cheerlead, etc. I am a cheap bastard like Big D and the Madison Public schools have been very, very, good to us so far. Sports are a challenge and will be more of an issue for my young son because it is so competitive among the boys in Madison schools so I may end up sending him to a private school so he can have the experience in sports that I had which frankly was an important part of my life and a big positive. I hope he can make it in the public schools and that is why were are excited about the new Germantown public school which he will attend.

Pillow and Carroll are without a doubt schools of neccessity. The graduation rate for public schools in the area are about 40%.

Other than the fact that I have to pay $5K a year to send each kid to school.... I happen to like Greenwood... jacka$$. The people that live in Greenwood are some of the nicest, close knit people around, and Pillow is an amazing school. Unfortunately, the negative elements ofthe surrounding areaare most visible to those who don't live here.

He likes it there. He lives in Madison in the Reunion Subdivision. He's a good coach. Knows fundamentals and X's & O's.

He may can coach X's and O's but as a player back in the day, he damn sure did not know how to pass of play defense. I used to hate having him on my team during pick up games in the Tin Gym.

So how do I have a warped sense of reality? Unless I misread what you typed.

the comment "have a warped sense of reality, like you do" was supposed to be referencing the parents that send their kids to private school for that reason, not you DS.

I should have wrote it this way: ".... have a warped sense of reality, like their parents".

Sorry for the poor wording.
