Mullen and HUD, gene and Gus comparison

Let me know your opinion on this but to me it kind of resembles each other. When HUD was here we were playing inspired football, some say it wasn't because of HUD but that's the only common difference I can find from 2010 to now. It's like when Gus left gene at auburn, the team started to go down( maybe not to the extreme of auburn). But you gotta wonder if we hire HUD next season could he have us in the same position as Gus has auburn in right now? IMO I think he could, I can see us at least competing with bama. I don't see us getting blown out with HUD as our coach.

malzhan inherited an auburn team that has had consistent top 8-12 or so recruiting classes, even in their down time. their talent level is not far off the very top teams in the conference. your comparision may be apt but malzhan has more to work with that hudspeth would. it would take him some longer.
