Most D1 schools are going to demand a little more from a potential head coach than 1 season of going 5-7.

If Dan Mullen can parlay a 5-7 record into a "step up," then more power to him.

But common sense would seem to dictate Dan Mullen has yet to prove himself to the Miss. State fanbase. Much less any other fanbase.

his program is superior to MSU's (and I never saw "far"). And, I think Bruiser summed up the reasons quite well. You do have a two inch large jumbo tron or whatever. Forgive me for not being impressed w/ the whole one bowl in nine years thing. But the Liberty is pretty much better than the Cotton so you do have that.
