He said he expects some players back. Not all. He worded that carefully and said it nonchalantly.

Van Pelt asked: Will you guys have all hands on deck against Auburn? (in regards to players missing Memphis game)<div>Mullen responded: "We expect to have guys back this weekend"</div><div>
</div><div>Not "all" guys or "some" guys. Just guys.</div>

Literally nobody knows anything about the siatuation. There's onlya tiny rumor about NCAA nvolvement that appears to be more guessing than anything else. How in the hell is Mullen keeping this so tight knit?

The NCAA rumor started because a post over on 247 was misunderstood. And as far as how in the hell Mullen is keeping this **** so quiet. I have no idea, but its masterful to say the least.

If Marcello, Locke and Veazey don't like it, 17 'em. If we don't like it, 17 us. Yeah, my curiosity gets the best of me, and I want to lay around and dream about what Cox is going to do to AU's o-line and QB, but like I said, 17 me.

All I know is that I trust Mullen, and I haven't trusted a head coach in a long time. I know that he'll have a gameplan for Auburn no matter what players are available. I've heard Mullen in interviews and at press conferences and on the Road Dawg Tour, and I've learned one thing, the man doesn't say one thing he doesn't intend to, and everything he says has meaning, down to the most minute detail. I like to think he's 17ing with other coaches by not revealing who's playing, and I like a coach that does that. It shows he's trying to get every advantage possible.

No matter who plays on Saturday, Mullen and crewwill have them ready. Go Dawgs!

He played mind games with JSU his first game never saying if AD would play or not. The difference is what AD did was a matter of public record.

I do too- I love it really. It ticks me off that they keep asking- my God, he doesn't want to answer, what's hard to get about that? Quit asking- it's annoying. I don't care if it's your job- you'll get less out of the guy if you just keep getting on his nerves. It's not the world's business if they missed a class or whatever- just know that they're being punished. I actually trust the guy to give them a decent punishment, unlike a lot of coaches.

I also realize he doesn't want his kids reading on Twitter or whatever how much their team is going to struggle without this person or this person, or how we'll change our game plan, or whatever. A lot of this stuff is mind games, but it is with the kids as much as outsiders and he doesn't want it affecting them.
