<span>Witt is my wife's 1st cousin and I can tell you 1st hand that he is head and shoulders (pun intended) better than anything we have on campus right now.

especially given mullen's proven ability to develop QBs. with his mobility, i don't think he could find a better fit than msu, because mullen knows how to utilize a mobile QB (see alex smith, tebow, bowling green QB). i hope you can steer him to starkville.

If he was 6'2" 205 and still ran a 4.7, we're ready to talk, baby. The question is this for Mullen: Are you willing to roll the dice that, genetically, he will be that size by the time he's a redshirt freshman. Personally, if I'm Mullen, I've got to go with the kid who's already there genetically.
Let me also add this. If you watch this kid's film, you note that his line pretty much sucked. Everything was roll out, scramble, create, or three step. In that regard he would be well rehearsed for an MState OL.

The problem is I think Witt is 3rdish on States wish list (Nance Nash being #1). Mullen has said that he wants to sign 2 qbs every year so I think its highly possible that Witt may end up with us. If he has the kind of senior year that I think he is going to have then I expect his stock to rise.
if he's 6'2", he's tall enough to play for mullen. brian johnson, utah QB found by mullen, is listed at 6'1", 200lbs. he looks like a playmaker, and i bet that's a BIG part of mullen's evaluations. and we all know how badly we need playmakers on the field. with our strength program, and its focus on speed (assuming we use the same focus on speed that florida uses), he'll probably be able to add some pounds and increase, not lose, his speed.
He'll get 6'2", he's a lifelong bulldog fan as well as the rest of his family. as for bulk, who knows. But a college weight program can change many things. He's quick and would do well here. Coach Barnes runs a lot of different formations including the spread and he would be a good fit in it. He's also a smart kid so he can learn and pickup things quickly
