Our 4-5 year seniors on defense next season might as well just coach the defense with all the knowledge they have picked up from the previous three coordinators. It is surprising to see how fast we go through defensive coordinators around here these days.

I'm guessing Cheese wasn't a wealth of knowledge. Surely in 35 years of coaching Torbush picked up a few things to teach them even if he wasn't a good DC...

Hire the best coach we can and if he leaves, he leaves. I hope whoever we hire is successful and stays for a long time, but as long as they're successful while there here I'm OK with it.

Nobody came in there and snatched JLD from us when he was kicking everybody's ***. Nobdoy came in there and snatched EJ from us when he had some really good defenses here.

Over the years, we've had good defenses more often than not. I don't see that all the sudden we're not going to be able to keep a good D coordinator.
