to speak to the team and share a meal together. That's not a bad idea.

Now, can Mullen figure out a way to make peace with the Bud car driver?

I'm probably reading too much into Veazey's blog post on the subject, but I found it odd that, according to Kyle, very few city cops showed up. Here's the quote:
Mainly sheriff's deputies were left by this time, as the campus police officers who were there earlier left for another function and I didn't see many, if any, city officers.

but I'm not surprised. Community relations doesn't seem to be a priority for the SPD.

It would not surprise me if half or more of the SPD were Alabama or OM fans.

1. You don't need a degree to be on the SPD (Bama fans).
2. If you did have a degree, it would be Criminal Justice which State does not offer (OM fans).

what does the Lindley's marriage have to do with community relations?

Look, you think the SPD can do no wrong and I disagree. Let's leave it at that.

That is just from my experience. Let the person that was defending the guy pulling a gun on someone pulling up to the emergency room flame away.

and yes there are some pricks but for the most part they have some very good guys. Many of them have gone far above their duty to help me out. The truth of the matter is most people encounter the SPD when they have done something wrong and they already are on the defensive. The reason they may not have been there is because they are understaffed anyway.

True, but if Mullen invited "local law enforcement", it would make sense that there would be at least some SPD presence there.
