I think he's just trying to teach our players to be the best they can be and try to win as many games as he can. Also, notice that when Mullen is yelling at the players, he's teaching them what they should and shouldn't do. He's probably pissed because they're screwing up stuff that they shouldn't- like throwing a well-timed pass on a slant.
