I just think coaches better have the players to back it up when they mouth off to the big boys. You don't hear Spurrier throwing around cute little quips about the heavy hitters in the SEC any more. When you're kicking everyone's ***, it's easy to be pompous. A better response by a second year coach with a losing record would probably be along the lines of "well Coach Saban is certainly entitled to his opinion, but when I look at my track record -- helping in some way to get these guys to be first round draft picks out of this offense -- I think it speaks for itself." At this point, if there is a chance to shove the boot all the way up your *** in Tuscaloosa this year (and I'm not saying there will be), it will happen.
