He can start with the play caller. Look at the two TD drives in comparsion to every other possession. On those, the pass opened up the run. They were not only begging us to pass but actually letting us get it done but he was too stubborn. What he was doing wasn't working and he couldn't truly adapt. Outcoached again.

Sell. No need to overhaul a staff and potentially mess up recruiting after a historic season. Unless you wait til after signing day.

Sell. I know that a couple have left on not so good terms and Dan's shuffled coaching responsibilities at times, but aside from the Redmond fiasco, has Dan ever actually fired anyone yet?

His first defensive coordinator took another job. We may never know if it was under threat of being fired.

Didn't he join Charlie Weis in Kansas? I also want to think he had some kind of health problem not long after and quit, so we wouldn't have been stuck with him long at State had he stayed.

he certainly needed help two times this year when he bottled up the offense and refused to see what was there to take. i feel like that clipped us in both losses by not getting that timing down.

Carl Torbush

Worked for Turner Gill, at Kansas.

Torbush is now HC at East Tn. St., Ha ha, I though he had checked out of football.

Not so sure on Torbush.

We were 71st in PA in 2009 with 6 NFL players having significant minutes.

In 2009 our D was relatively poor. Glad he left.

He was often compared to a Porn Star.

I do recall in the mid 80's that he had a hell of a D in Oxford.

I'm thinking he'll have to.

Not that I think anyone should get fired (maybe change some assignments around, but nothing fancy), but it's probable that one or two assistants might get picked up by other schools. I worry about that with new coaching hires elsewhere in the SEC and beyond.

1. I don't know if it was lack of talent or scheme but our DB's were just all around terrible this year. Tackling and coverage, especially up the middle seam, they blew. Save me the "teams threw more against us than any other team" crap. If you are going to stop the run then dammit you better be ready to stop the pass, Nancy, and we sucked at it and somebody needs to address it.
2. We had to be dead fvckin worst at punt returns the last few years. We supposedly had a "special teams coordinator" this year for the first time. The only improvement I saw was when we got rid of Grahams fumbling and put in Ross. He didn't fumble any but had to lead the league in punts fielded inside the 10
