The Miami Rivals guy said earlier today that Mullen and Miami are about to part ways for a couple of reasons. The main one being the UF coaching opening. Miami thinks that it might be 2 or 3 weeks before UF names and coach, and that there is no way Mullen is going to commit to a contract there until UF names a coach.
Miami has a recruiting class it has to build up and if thats true, it could be January before Mullen would take over there. That would basically put them in the position to have to review, offer, and sign 20+ kids in one month - the current administration doesn't think thats worth it.
Also, they say Mullen is down the UF coaching list a bit certainly behind Stoops and Petrino.
Could be good news guy.
