Decent interview; they were very complementary of Dan.
Highlights:
-Should've beaten Auburn
-We are very young but getting better
-Beat Troy b/c of better execution
-Need to improve a LOT b4 LSU (esp. WR and 3rd down conversion)
-In response to being asked if job was harder than he expected said no, but it has been tough dealing w/the national champ being from our division since he started
-Tyler will start
-Loves our fans (of course) and the expectations we now have, and in response to same question said if he's here long enough we will run the gamut of things (mainly in reference to streaks....fourth quarter blown lead streak, beating OM 3 years then suddenly losing were specific references)
There was more, but I had to do this from memory; had to start a surgery right at 11:30.
Vernon made some pretty good points post interview (after apologizing for the H'burg misstep) mainly about what Dan has done here, the expectations he's created, and the monster that is the West. From an outsider's point of view it's hard to argue with him. I'm no apologist....Dan has really disappointed me in a lot of ways recently....but it's tough for me to separate my love for this school and reality. Such is life, no?
