I am a practical thinker, I go by the results on the field when it comes to sports. Carroll played great when he was put in with minimal coaching in '07, very confident, very few interceptions. When he ran the team, the team ran well. As the year progressed, with more coaching and more Croom input, he got worse. Finally he basically had to tell Croom what to do in the Liberty Bowl. Then '08 came with a year of Croom coaching, and with it, loss of all confidence and too much thinking and less playing.
Now I'm not advocating a player telling a coach what to do, it should never come to that. Croom could have picked this stuff up on his own. It's a damn shame it was all at our own expense.
**@* Croom. I would love to have Carroll on this team right now, it would make a HELL of a difference, if nothing else for confidence and a running threat at QB. Relf is not the guy. We have ONE quarterback right now.
