Is it just me, or does anyone think Mullen knows he is going with Russell on Saturday, but he just wants to make SC prepare for both quarterbacks?

1. I think Dan is honestly between a rock and a hard place with the QBs. We have no vertical passing game with Relf. The QB is no longer a big play running threat with Russell. We're halfway through the season, so pretty soon (by Saturday), he has decide on one guy and be willing to sink or swim with him for the rest of the season.

2. Shmuley, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Nothing personal against Clausell.......he's simply just not ready yet.

The big play running threat hasn't been there so far because teams know he can't throw the ball. Stick 8 in the box and that big play running threat is negated. Then you have a qb that can't throw down the field and can't run against 8 in the box. I'll trade that scenario for accuracy down the field, or in the flat, or 5 yds from the quarterback. I see the rock, but not really the hard place.

thats how bad our OL has been- the safeties have just been reading the play and joining in...what we have faced this year is nowhere close to what we saw last season

Yep, LBs are playing read and react. Let the DL get in the backfield and then meet ball carrier in the hole.

On the QB, he is just making USC prepare for two QBs. He is going to start Relf but go to Russell in a hurry.

Only question is how loud will the boo birds be if Relf has a 3 and out opening drive.
