Hell pay the man at least what Croom was making. Look at the excitement, butts in the seats and people actually are not telling us how great of a guy Croom is. I would love to be hated agian.

It was just some names they threw out there for thought. No way ESPN already knew who they were looking at.

Just wait until he has a winning season. On the bright side, at least it hasn't gone unnoticed that our program is improving. He isn't going to Kansas though.

I think the claim that Nutt called Kansas to inquire about the job is hilarious. That's not happening either, but it's funny.

said that, we all know that it probably will be a matter of time at this point before he moves on.. I'd like to think we could keep him at least another four years, projecting his probable success.

tutelage under Meyer. And because the media has to list a few names and assumes there is no way anyone would want to be at MSU unless they have to. Bump him up to 1.5 or so now and if he gets us to a bowl next year, bump again. Hell, OM pays Nutt 2.5 so if at the end of 4 years we are going to good bowls....no reason he can't be pushing that number. And then it will take a very special job to snag him. I think were good up to that point.

that is totally skewed, and it seems to perpetuate itself. I doubt if many so called sportswriters that slam it have ever been on campus.

It's depressing to me that we're even having this conversation. We're not going to lose Mullen to a Kansas. If we lose a head coach without Kansas ties to Kansas, it would be time to consider shutting down the football program. State's obviously not a top tier sec school, but it's still an SEC school not named vanderbilt, which means that unless Mullen or his wife simply want out of Starkville, there aren't that many schools outside of the SEC that we should have to worry about. Maybe 25 on the high end, and Kansas isn't on that list. Also, the schools on that list probably aren't going to offer Mullen before he has a couple of winning seasons under his belt, unless he just blows it out of the water next year.

..sole claim to fame is a 5-7 record as head coach, then move over Gerry Faust & Notre Dame.

Because Kansas would have made the single dumbest coaching hire in the history of NCAA football.

Arkansas fans say that's not like him at all and they don't believe it. That said, just because some random guy posted it on the Internet doesn't mean I believe it either, at least not until we get some more credible sources.
