Either way, expect Mullen's agent to work this for a raise, just like all of these "rumors" about TX contacting certain coaches. As many coaches as possible have used the USC/Texas jobs for raises. BC get the checkbooks out, if not this year then next (also have to pay the assistants if you want to keep the staff intact).
I doubt anyone will mention his name as a possibility for PSU unless they are MSU or OM fans.
There once was a coach named Curley Hallman who coached for a while at a school called Southern Miss. He wasn`t that great a coach but he had this QB named Favre who was pretty good. One day a much larger school called LSU, who had mistaken coach Hallman`s success as being a product of his coaching (instead of the play of this Favre kid) offered him a very large paycheck to leave poor little Southern Miss to come coach at their much larger and richer school. A funny thing happened on the way to coach Hallman`s leading LSU to the promise land...hell fell on his face without young Mr. Favre on his roster. If Dan Mullen ever is offered a job buy one of the big boys it`ll be because Dak Prescott did the same thing for him that Favre did for Hallman. Might want to just store this away in the old memory bank.
