I'm not saying that it isn't true, but I have a hard time believing that Stricklin would agree to that, knowing that JoePa was likely on his way out before Mullen's contract would be up.
Now that very well may have been true...But I would still like to think that Stricklin would insist on having all his bases covered in the off chance that they wanted to go in another direction...Such as now.
As in our (soon to be former) idiot probably originated those terms and drafted the contract with a smile on his face. Stricklin likely has a better contract with Mullen than Boone did with Nutt.
Stricklin did what he needed to do to keep Mullen. I'm sure he thought, "Sure, I'll agree to that, but what are the odds that they'll offer Dan the job anytime soon." Just like I would've thought.
