I think you know why the media isn't outraged. It doesn't fit their agenda.Where are the feminist activists? Where is the outrage in corporate media? Oh…this is just par for the course in urban America? My mistake…

I like to say the actions were stupid not the person, however, it is UNTHINKABLE and would not happen in my life. My wife would never be anywhere in the city of Memphis at that time by herself on streets. There’s no excuse he could give for letting this happen. If you live or have lived or have a lot of experience in Memphis you know there’s no excuse in this.
When I go to STL I won’t even run in daylight by myself on the streets anymore and me and my father used to do it all the time in the 90’s. These areas are too dangerous now. Too many criminals looking for an easy target.
I realize this was a sociopath or a psychopath and not really crime related, but that doesn’t matter. She was bound to be a victim eventually with that mindset.
This husband let his guard down and she was murdered because of it. I don’t know how it goes in other fanilies, but in mine protection comes down to dad. I might not be able to keep everyone alive but they won’t die that way.
Bruh refusing to let your wife jog at 4 am in DC is gonna ruin your street cred.I have lived near DC since 2016, and in that time that city has fallen into pretty much utter chaos (and has been on a rapid decline since June 2020).
The volume of crime and the locations where crime is occurring have both increased/spread.
You and your car are both targets.
Underaged kids are being used in higher volume to commit serious crimes (e.g. carjackings, which can easily devolve into shootings/murder) because their records are sealed and the DC court system releases them from jail at 18.
When I used to go into DC more regularly,
I recognized the importance of being vigilant.
Now, with increased crime, including stabbings and shootings, and cops nowhere to be found,
I recognize that I am taking a personal risk anytime I enter the District.
While I am still willing to go, at certain times and for certain reasons, there is no way my wife is going to just meander in there with the children anymore, let alone be on the streets of DC alone at 4:00 AM.
Even mid-day, taking the kids, think of how exposed she is to a carjacker, while she is fiddling with car seats, etc.
Four years ago, I had little problem if my wife and kids walked a few blocks in Manhattan, even at night. They were together, and they knew where they were going.
That is over. Probably forever. While the “new decline” of US cities began several years back, Covid was the death knell, and there is no appearance of any type of restoration on the horizon.
I am too old and I have learned too much and my family is too important to me to just say, “be diligent” and pray for the best.
The saddest thing is that nobody talks about it until a white woman is the victim. Black people are the victims every minute of every day. All because of 60 years of failed liberal policies. That should be the story, every day.
Bub, keep hanging on that word CIRCUMSTANCES and calling other people dumbasses all you want. You simply don’t know all the details of the circumstances that led to this. Hope no one is talking about what a dumbass you are as you’re going under…
Do you really think a different outfit would have stopped that f#cking animal from raping and killing her?...run around in skimpy clothes that early in the morning.
Maybe, I haven't heard of any Amish, Mennonite or Latter Day Saints Church women getting abducted and killed while jogging in their long dresses.Do you really think a different outfit would have stopped that f#cking animal from raping and killing her?
Reminds me of the day I knocked on an Amish door or it maybe was Mennonite, this woman answered the door, and it about floored me. Some Amish dude went to town and got him an English girl. I've only seen it once but good job Graber.Maybe, I haven't heard of any Amish, Mennonite or Latter Day Saints Church women getting abducted and killed while jogging in their long dresses.![]()
Ha, you watch Sean Hannity. And TN voted for Trump. So what? Are you actually trying to imply that if the entire nation was deep red, violence would just grind to a halt and we'd be living in Pleasantville?Sean Hannity tried this in the summer of 2020, running through the volume of black deaths in major cities, bringing families on his show to discuss their tragedies, etc.
Last I checked, NY, IL, CA, etc. voted heavily for Biden that fall.

Why is it that in a mass shooting thread, all I read is that evil exists and nothing will stop it so we must live with it but then someone here will cherry pick some random tragedy in a big city and say "welp, liberals something something." Not everything is black and white, or in the case some of you are making, red and blue. Can't have it both ways but you guys sure try.
Wanna be clear I don’t actually know the victim at all, I just know a couple they were friends with. My friend that knew her is the nicest, most optimistic, forgiving, altruistic, Jesus-following, positive person I’ve ever met. He sees the good in everyone. TBH it’s sickening and honestly the reason I’m not better friends with him bc I tend to be a cynical a-hole in my thoughts, and I just can’t relate. The little I know about this woman, she comes across as similar to my friend and I assume it’s why they were friends with each other. If she was like him, she wasn’t “woke” and didn’t look down on others… just likely overly naive and optimistic. Would I ever put myself in that situation? No. But I have a hard time pointing the finger and judging her for her own death, basically for having a much purer outlook on the world. If everyone were like that, the world would be unrecognizably amazing. I’m not going to pile on her for that.
IMO the toughest thing about this is that it could happen to anyone. Sure you can rationalize that you’d never be in a similar situation nor “let” your wife be in the same situation… as if you’re a Saudi prince who controls every aspect of your spouse’s behavior. But it’s a defense mechanism bc there are tons of things your wife/gf does solo. Shopping. Getting oil changed. Getting gas. Exercising *in a gym* and walking to the car alone when it’s just dark. And if you’re the type to demand to know where she is 24/7 so you can “protect” her… well guess what, she probably doesn’t tell you the full truth 100% of the time bc she doesn’t want to hear another condescending domineering rant when she feels intelligent and empowered enough to handle her own day to day ****.
She may have been naively reckless but that doesn’t make her worthy of her or her family being called idiots and dumbasses because she was abducted and murdered… and God knows what else. Was the guy just shot in Memphis at a convenience store in broad daylight a dumbass too? It’s equally sad and senseless and there’s no reason to blame him for *being shot*. Good grief.
So should the Memphis shooter and the guy up in Canada who (along with his brother) stabbed almost 30 people and killed 10. All three were released early from convictions for violent crimes almost exactly the same as their most recent crimes.Henderson should have still be in prison.

Unfortunately this is America in the year 2022. It will only get worse. So as a citizen of a violent nation we have to use wisdom and know our environment. This was Memphis, TN. New Orleans is the same as is Atlanta, GA and a host of other major cities. All are dangerous. So know your environment and act accordingly.
We have to understand that before we put on our track shoes and start jogging in the middle of the night it might be a good idea to skip it. Find somewhere else to exercise. A wise person can live to an old age, a not so wise person will probably leave the world a little earlier than expected. We are sad for this woman and very said she did not use wisdom in her actions. And she paid for it. Very sad.
Now let's turn our eyes on the criminal and fry him in the electric chair.
Henderson should have still be in prison.
I have some very close friends and a few relatives that live across the state line in Mississippi. It is actually a Memphis suburb. They refuse to go into Memphis because of the danger. They are getting up in years and would be an easy target no matter what time of day it is. One has a daughter who teaches school in Memphis and she is probably moving to Florida because of the danger in the Memphis public schools. She say it is a jungle and there is no such thing as discipline. Very sad.So looks like a 19 year old killed 4 and injured 3 others in Memphis yesterday. He was going around the city and shooting people while doing a Facebook live. Dear Lord I will be glad when my daughter gets out of the place.
My daughter taught 1st grade in South Memphis last year and it was a crazy environment. One day she pulled into the parking lot and 2 women were fighting across the street at an apartment complex. One lady was ramming the other ladies head into an iron fence. The public park beside the school was a gang hangout where there were drug deals going down constantly. I couldn't tell you how many times they were on lockdown due to shootings at various apartment complexes around the school. She is now at a school in Germantown which is a better area but that whole place is a cesspool of epic proportions.I have some very close friends and a few relatives that live across the state line in Mississippi. The fact this is allowed to exist in the United States of America is disgusting. It could be easily stopped. But violence is good for liberal politicians so they turn their back and let it roll on.My daughter taught 1st grade in South Memphis last year and it was a crazy environment. FFYLiving in Memphis is a bad idea.
Living in Memphis at 4 a.m. is an exceptionally bad idea.
But the killer is clearly Amish so...Maybe, I haven't heard of any Amish, Mennonite or Latter Day Saints Church women getting abducted and killed while jogging in their long dresses.![]()
Agreed.
Unfortunately her husband is the primary bread winner as he is an engineer and that is why they are in the crap hole to begin with. The fact this is allowed to exist in the United States of America is disgusting. So as individuals we have to use wisdom. I wish your daughter well and would recommend she explore job opportunities in Florida. Due to our growth we need more teachers especially experienced ones. Florida public schools are highly ranked and pay good salaries. They have the backing of the governor and state legislature. I would recommend a position in the rural parts of our state, in the North Florida or Central Florida area. It would be worth a look and most every county is looking for teachers. Good ones.
Understood.Unfortunately her husband is the primary bread winner as he is an engineer and that is why they are in the crap hole to begin with.

You don't hear much about that Waukesha vehicle attack any more but that guy was the same.
If we want to talk about reforming parole and probation in this country, I'm all for making it much tougher for people convicted of violent crimes to see the light of day.
