I must confess I don't know Michael Franks but I looked him up and he does indeed have that very smooth singing style. Chet Baker has it as well.

It's probably my favorite of all their albums. I think I like every single song on it, and for me that is a rarity! Actually it's very hard to say because when I think about it I love the rest of their albums too!That first Doors album really got my attention!

I am a word person so it was lyrics that really made me love them the most. All the atmosphere they created with words. Lots of things, but the words for me came first. "Let's swim to the moon"...a million more.I thought this one was a classic and the quality of their output tailed off. Just my opinion of course. They still had some good ones here and there.
