The Jackson, TN AA franchise is the old AA Memphis Chicks. It moved to Jackson when the Redbirds came to Memphis in the late 90s.

Back in 1978 I was stationed in NYC. Back then the Mets weren't a very good team and had trouble getting fans to show up. They had a few nickel beer nights, Schaeffer beer in an 8 oz. cup for a nickel. We could get free tickets from the moral office, .50 cents sub fare each way, nickel beer and a couple of extra bucks for a good hot dog. Fun on a budget.
