And it is probably going to get a lot worse. Today, Coaches poll is out and Ole Miss is #10, and getting the love big time from the national talking heads. Timmy B. was one, had a CBS Exec. on pointing to Oct. 10th match up with Alabama, went on at length about Ole Miss. The guy on ESPN went on that UM has recieved the "blessing" of the top 10 preseason ranking, the first step in realistically reaching number 1 by seasons end. Says they are legit. Well, are they? Is this thing going to build for the next month or so and then bust like a **** bag @ South Carolina on Thursday night game, Sept 26th? Will a 4-0 Rebel squad roll into BAMA, only to lose by a point or so? or will there be a monumental UM-LSU match up in Nov. to decide Atlanta?
What is it gonna be?

So don't worry about that one.

I could easily see us going into the Bama game 4-0 and winning a very close one and then losing to LSU.

If the LSU game does decide the SECW I'll be one nervous sumbitch. Also, I genuinely think it would be dangerous to be a LSU fan on the Square that weekend.

The only way that UM is in the top 5 and national championship picture is to go 12-0. Anything less and they are done because that 2nd 1-aa game is going to bite them in the ***. With all the hype they are getting now, the pressure is certainly on. Anything short of 9-3 or 10-2 and a trip to the SECCG is a collosal failure.

Let's see if they can beat this:

The 1999 Bulldog team finished their season with a 10-2 record, earning a final ranking of #12 nationally. MSU beat in-state rival Mississippi to finish the regular season. It was Jackie Sherrill's 6th win in his first 9 games against the Rebels. In the bowl game, the Bulldogs defeated Clemson in the Peach Bowl, 17-7 to finish 10-2 and ranked #12. That #12 ranking is the highest final ranking of any FBS Division team in the State of Mississippi in over 30 years.

Or will the pre-season hype get to them.

#13 in the AP in 2003 and #14 in AP last year. Doesn't beat your #12 ranking but that's close enough cause we had two good years.

First of all NO ONE fears you.
The only way an LSU fan will be in danger is if yall decide to try to gang rape him you Homo.
The cajuns will kick your preppy *** on the field and off.

I think we've got a pretty good shot at them this year. Y'all could surprise them -- didn't y'all hand in there against them last season?

....by that I mean that their schedule is set up so that there's no way I can go to any of their home games, which is good for them because Ole Miss has never won an SEC home game I've attended unless the other team was Mississippi State.
