He had no way of knowing Petrino would eventually be the coach.. assuming Nutt stays, he absolutely made the right choice.

In my mind, he is the poster boy for "just because you have a great arm, that doesn't make you a good QB."

He had all the physical tools, but he apparently did not have the mental tools to play the position. It doesn't make him a bad person, he just wasn't what he was made out to be.

I remember watching him in the Army AA game (when I think he was still committed to Notre Dame) and he went 1-11. The one completion he made was a swing pass to a RB and he damn near missed that. After that showing, I was less than impressed.

I wish him well. He had too much to live up too, especially dealing with Arkansas fans that thought he was going to be the second coming.
