the formation is pretty much Jerry Rice on one side running whatever route he could to get open and then everyone else running something on the other side.

It's backyard football at it's finest.

yeah it's good, but not that rare to bring up from 25 years ago.

Don't Hawaii and Texas Tech and some others do that every single year it seems?

on one side. One was on the line of scrimmage and the other 3 were in a line behind him in the backfield. When Rice got to the 49ers they tried to run the same sets a few times, but it didn't work in the NFL.

And yes, it was definately something from the sandlot league. They played JSU in Memorial Stadium for the SWAC championship and the game was on TV. It was quite a site.

when they played Alcorn that season...full house for a SWAC game...it was cool ,but it wasnt mind-blowing or anything..

of a JH Football game I called between Brookhaven ACademy and Central Private several years ago. I think coach Gray called it payback for basektball...final score: BA 76 CP 52.

I bet the JSU game that year at memorial stadium was insane. It was 49-32 Valley with Rice catching 15 passes for 295 yards.
