....this is what we needed out of this staff this year to be successful, and we're getting it. Outstanding.

Also, we're mentally tougher than our competition. We're very evenly matched with Ole Miss. We put pressure on them and they melted down on both Friday night and Sunday despite our hitting woes. This is a direct testament to Cohen.

Whether or not you agree with his baseball, Cohen puts a team out there that never quits and is mentally tougher than almost anybody we've played, which makes them fun to root for.

We've got a tough road ahead. 2 next weekend is a must.

The "hitting guru" hasn't done **** with this team. Thompson's staff is the only reason we're not dead last in the SEC.

Were you posting that Mullen should have given Manny some of his salary that during the Gator Bowl???

You compare this baseball season to 2010's football season, yet you bring up one game, against, arguably, the easiest defense we faced all season, after having a month to prepare.

As for your question, yeah, Diaz deserved part of Mullen's salary b/c we were stupid on offense a lot, while our defense kept us in games and delivered wins. Hell, he owes Wilson a bonus after last season, as well.

I think the most recent example I've heard was him yelling "I got it" when we hit a popup to the infield.

watching you be more of a Cohen apologist than any of the "Stans apologists" (your words) ever were.

and i don't feel strongly one way or the other on Cohen at this point. i'm still in the wait and see phase. I thought he was an excellent hire when we got him but I am ready to see us become an elite SEC team again. I'm still hopeful he's the guy to get us there, but the jury's out at this point.

Super Regional in year 3

We have only finished in the top half of the SEC 3 times the last 11 years- he owns one of them and is 1 game out of 6th right now.

Our program is getting better under him. You dont apologize for doing a good job.

at last you can admit that you were wrong. There were about 30 other posters on here over the past 3 seasons that bashed Butch non-stop. They have yet to make a post stating that they were wrong.

...only because development has seemed to take so long. We're going to get one good year out of Stratton after seeing flashes and then having him fall completely off his last two years. For every player that's improved, at least one other has regressed or stayed the same. Reed's gotten significantly worse. He screwed Routt up and he's never been the same, etc, etc.

However, what can you say about the results lately? What we've needed to happen to be a good team for the last two years is finally happening. And the monumental leap that Chris and Kendall have made has been enough to compensate for the rest. Reed could screw around and give up two runs because Pollo pitched so well for most of the game.

Give him credit. When our pitching is this good, small ball works. And this is the strategy we need to employ in our yard with these bats.

Mingione branded himself after that embarrassing episode against lsu awhile back and he's still doing that stuff. He has zero respect.
