Thanks but that was the first place I went when he was first hired. I thought you had a link about what you were talking about.
The wikipedia article provides plenty of justification for waiting and seeing how he does with one full season as OC under his belt. From what I read don't see any reason to be 75% or greater confident.

That's why I said 50% even though I read that article before the bowl game.

I guess we're supposed to be confident just because he's our OC. Because we've never had a bad one.

My confidence in Shula as OC is
I want him to succeed obviously but I was a little concerned in the bowl game when he definitely told Lanorris to stay in the pocket at all cost and diminished the use of his legs!! That was obvious as compared to the Clemson game when his legs and the defense won that game for us!!

Yeah, the bowl game was concerning since Sellers played a MUCH more reserved game than he had in the previous 6. He definitely looked like he was being held back. But he and Shula have said it was in large part due to the defense Illinois ran. But that's concerning b/c that means all any team needs to do is run that defense against us.

I'm willing to write the bowl game off as a one-off for Shula since he was running someone else's system with only a few weeks to prepare.

I do think the general consensus among fans is that Sellers was being bridled a good bit in that game.

Far better resume than Satterfield. I'm behind him 100%

Satterfield started as a bad joke and followed it up by repeatedly proving it.

I dont think we should compare anyone to Satterfield as that is such a low bar to compare anyone to.
