Yes, I started a new thread. The unique nature of a timed, incoming lock calls for a unique response.

First and foremost, I find the whole thing funny. It probably happened, the school will figure it out it will be no big deal.

Second, Kyle is a great reporter and has done a really good job on the MSU beat. He deserves all the credit in the world for the time he puts in blogging and keeping us informed. Probably the best beat reporter we have ever had.

And last, I don't buy the "it is a story because MSU issued a press release". Why did MSU issue a press release? Most likely because Kyle, the beat reporter for the Clarion Ledger, was asking about it. Again, no anger toward Kyle but I do think this was a mistake. He let the Ole Miss posters on his blog push him into asking questions about an internet rumor. I would expect the primary newspaper for the State of Mississippi to be above that but it seems like the line between trusted news source and message board rumor got blurred here. Kyle elevated this from rumor to news, it didn't do it on it's own.

Is that wrong of him? Not necessarily. But my question is will he elevate rumors we bring about Ole Miss in the same manner? So for me it's not whether it's true, it probably is, but more that the Clarion-Ledger has never really gotten into the muck of the recruiting rumor mill before. If that's the future, if this is becoming more National Enquirer and less hard news then fine. Let's take the gloves off and let the rumors fly.

In a nutshell: Kylie is great, got pushed into this, made it news, and reported it. Nothing really wrong but seemingly not standard procedure. Also, MSU fans made too big a deal out of it and escalated it even more. And lastly, titties are great.
