1) No question Mullen quit at the end of the game
2) LSU has a great, deep defense and is big and quick on offense
3) Our passing defensive philosophy of "keep it in front of you" will make just about any decent quarterback we play look like a Heisman candidate
4) Neither Relf nor Russell know when to get rid of the ball when there's pressure...Relf has regressed, but I attribute much of this to the offensive line
5) Until State closes the talent gap that exists between us and nearly every other team in the SEC West, we can expect more conference games like tonight and last weekend
AND
6) If we're not able to close the talent gap quickly, Mullen will depart and go to a school where he doesn't have to compete with 3 national championship teams within a 3 hour drive, plus 2 other in-state schools.
FINALLY
7) The frustration level of being a State fan for me is increasing because I think the only way this program gets over the SEC West hump depends on the downfall of other SEC West programs (ie...Saban leaves Bama; Miles leaves LSU; etc.) Getting to that "next level" will require us playing our best every game, keeping nearly all the best in state recruits and other programs having rebuilding years or NCAA sanctions.

That is all.
