I had no idea about Genespage and its sunshine pumping mobsters when I joined SPS in 2003- had never been on it. I was going thru a bad divorce, and SPS was a good way to talk sports and get my mind off things back in late 2003, early 2004. I had heard stories about Stansbury's lack of discipline, almost getting fired by LT, and lack of S&C and figured it was pretty common knowledge. It was mind-boggling to me that so many people on SPS thought he was this great coach. I mentioned these problems and learned what the mob mentality from Genespage was like here on SPS.
So I just started 17'ing with people for enjoyment. I had no idea people would take it so personally.
Well what did you expect??? 2003-2004 season, we wereSEC Champions, #2 seed in the NCAA Tourney. Things were looking pretty good.

I didnt rant in the beginning. I just made a couple of comments and the cult would bring the wrath of hell on me for 4 and 5 page threads...and thats when the "we will never make a Sweet 16" proclamation came out and many others- turning every basketball season into a battle ground. Hell, even football season was bad then too because I told them Crooms was an idiot

I really thought we would see that lineup more, but our front court depth probably limited that. If those 4 guards play, then you have only Deville on the bench for the backcourt. Though that lineup had trouble defending and rebounding, I don't know that we could've been any worse by playing 4 guards more often.

I was really expecting more out of Deville, as were most. I also was hopeful that Gardner could contribute off the bench. Not having him meant that Hood was absolutely the only option at the 3, unless Bryant could give him a break. I hate to say it all goes back to depth, but we just didn't have many options. Before the season, I thought we would have the ability to go either big or small. Instead, at the end of the year, we went suck.

People try to say I hate Stansbury- it's actually the people that followed him so blindly on SPS that I hated
So you just hate the folks that like MSU's winningest basketball coach. God, I hate fans like you.
Err, you realize "all time winningest coach at MSU" is like saying "All time passing leader for Nebraska during the Tom Osborne Years" <div>
</div><div>Namely what you say is true but doesn't have the weight you think it does.</div><div>
</div><div>And it's one thing to like a coach it's another to "brook no criticism" of said coach. He hated not the people who liked Stansbury, but the ones who defended him , and held him in reverence, as if he was Coach K, Dean Smith, Tom Izzo, John Wooden take you pick of all-time great.</div>
