My Observations

1. First, and most importantly, why did we go in and out of using the option? Sure, they may have stopped it a couple of times, but going back all the way to last season against Ole Miss, teams have really had a hard time figuring it out. Usually, we roll down the field and unless we make a stupid turnover, we score. Start Relf, keep Relf, and run the damn option.<div>

Several times he paused a minute to get up. He took a beating when he ran it. There is a lot mental aspects to playing QB and to take a beating like that....eventually it's going to catch up with us.

Good point, I guess. What I meant was that it looks really good when we actually do it and at times tonight Auburn seemed confused. Hanrahan is a beast and was getting good yardage when he touched the ball.

A lot of teams do that. Sherrill always did that. The reason is that the fans can't boo the visiting team while they are cheering for the home team.

Hanrahan is a guy who can get some tough yards when the defense has no idea he's coming. He's not a guy you continue to give the ball to, he just isn't. Our run game worked at times, it also went nowhere at times. You have to pass in the SEC against most defenses, and we have the ability to...just didn't do it well at all tonight.
