I agree with someone else that posted earlier today, that this team is not buying Mullen's motivational junk. This team seems to be flat, with no emotion, and you can't fake that emotion. I don't feel that this team really respects the coaching staff. They all seem to be going through the motion and doing the same thing every week. We appear unimaginative and lackluster on TV, and I can see why recruits would not be overly hyped watching last night. That being said, I believe this team is a couple of skill players away from having a 5-2 record. We are a different team with a Scott Westerfield type kicker. Secondly, we still lack the receivers other teams have, and that has to change. I dread signing day already.

Could Deshea Townsend be the mine canary? I mean he has seen good coaching and good motivating. If ours is that poor, I wouldn't expect him to stick around another year. At least that is typically how it works in business. Good leaders rarely have the patience to languish under poor leadership...
