We had everything to play for and everything to lose. Huge stage and the "chance" to be in the first CFB playoff. We layed an egg. Pun Intended. I was pissed. Bummed. Cursing and about everything else an irate fan could do. The typical "Bo wallace was injured and no treadwell" type of over confidence. Then I stepped away, slept and woke up this morning and thought:

Yeah. Croom just "didnt see that coming". That was it. And now we have this:

A pissed off mother 17er who says he isnt going to sleep for 365 days. Yeah, and let me remind you, Mississippi State FOOTBALL was ranked #1 for multiple weeks this season. In just 6 years he has taken a program that was in the trash and made them #1. One game from playing for a Natty. I never thought I would see us this close my whole life, no matter the coach.

10-2 and possibly playing in a MAJOR BOWL. Orange, Fiesta.....LAST year did anyone of you think it was possible? a 22 million dollar bowl? I know I didnt. I thought 8-4 to 9-4 would have been awesome. Mullen has definitley set a new bar. And now he is PISSED. He does need to address a few things. But I, as a Mississippi State fan, am NOT going to ***** about a 10-2 regular season. Thanks.

You'll probably get called out by some for this post but I for one agree with you. It sucks real bad to be this close and still come up short but this year changed everything. We showed everyone that we can compete and that we are not the MSU of old.

Personally I'm glad people are pissed because it means people won't be content with 10-2. We should be very happy with this season but now we know that more can be done.

Not pissed at the ten but at the two. It was a great season overall. I'll be happy if we can get chances to get to the playoff every year. It will get annoying if we choke every time and become the Georgia of the west.

We have a first time head coach who is also learning too. We as a program, and he as a coach are growing TOGETHER. Now if we had hired in Nick Saban we might have went 12-0. But we didnt, and COULDNT. As we learn to deal with success as a fan base, Mullen will learn also.

And as far as getting called out, oh well.

I don't know that I agree that Saban would have went 12-0. It's not like we are loaded with NFL talent like LSU or bama. We certainly have a several NFL guys but we aren't loaded enough to think another coach would have gone undefeated. Saban did lose in the same stadium as we just did.

I doubt he would have. Bama doesn't lose often, but when it does, Saban is often at fault. He lost to UL-Monroe his first year. I know Bama wasn't as loaded then as they have been since, but it was 17ing UAB. The first LSU game the year they played them twice was all on him and the Auburn game last year mostly was too. That said, obviously he's an outstanding coach.
